Arjun Erigaisi is a grandmaster from Warangal, India. In December 2024 he became the second Indian after Viswanathan Anand to pass 2800 in classical rating, and at the 2024 Chess Olympiad in Budapest he won team gold and the individual gold medal on board three.

Erigaisi has played every league season: for the SG Alpine Warriors in 2023, the Ganges Grandmasters in 2024 and the PBG Alaskan Knights in 2025. The Knights kept him for 2026, where he plays alongside Anand for the first time.

In the 2026 season Erigaisi plays for the PBG Alaskan Knights on one of the two Superstar men's boards. The season runs from 5 to 13 September 2026 in Bengaluru, India.

Global Chess League record

In 2023 the SG Alpine Warriors of Magnus Carlsen finished fourth in Dubai. In 2024 the Ganges Grandmasters finished last in London.

In 2025 Erigaisi was the most valuable player of the PBG Alaskan Knights, who finished third in Mumbai. The third-place match against the Ganges Grandmasters went to blitz tiebreaks after a 1-1 split, and Erigaisi won his first three games against Vincent Keymer.
