Vidit has played all three Global Chess League seasons and reached two finals. He was a Superstar player of the upGrad Mumba Masters in 2023 and 2024 and of the Triveni Continental Kings in 2025. For 2026 he joins the Alpine APL Pipers.

Global Chess League record

In 2023 the upGrad Mumba Masters reached the first league final in Dubai. The Triveni Continental Kings won the first match 9-7, the Masters won the second 12-3, and the blitz tiebreak matches were also split, so the title went to a single sudden-death game drawn by lots. Vidit lost his game to Wei Yi in the first match of the final.

In 2024 the Masters kept most of the squad but did not reach the final in London. In 2025 Vidit joined the Triveni Continental Kings, who dominated the league stage in Mumbai and reached a third straight final. There they lost to the Alpine SG Pipers 2-4 and 1.5-4.5; Vidit drew with Praggnanandhaa in the first match and lost to him in the second.
